Rotterdam International Secondary School (RISS)

Rotterdam International Secondary School (RISS) provides secondary education in English to the children (ages 11 to 19) of the international community in Rotterdam. Pupils follow academic courses which lead to internationally recognized qualifications. The courses reflect the international nature of the society in which pupils graduating from the school will take their place. RISS teach the International Middle Years, IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes giving their graduates ample choices.

RISS is located in central Rotterdam (close to Rotterdam Central station) and is easily accessible by car, bike and public transport. The facilities available to students include state-of-the-art science laboratories, computer centre, sports hall, art and music rooms, canteen and a theatre.

The school considers participation in extra-curricular activities an essential supplement to the teaching process. These include Model United Nations, trips, public speaking competitions, photography, theatre, music, sports and art.
