After-school activities for kids

Something particular to the Netherlands, and after-school activities, is that these are more often than not organised outside of the local school system. International schools differ in this regard. Neighbourhoods will have local sports clubs at which children can play a variety of sports. And, in the larger cities, clubs catering to the international community will offer a variety of different sporting opportunities. Looking for other activities for your children, and not sure where to start? Contact the ACCESS Helpdesk for some suggestions from our database of ‘expat referred and preferred services’ for holiday camps in the Netherlands among other things.
