IN Amsterdam

International Newcomers Amsterdam (IN Amsterdam, previously called the Expatcenter Amsterdam) is a joint initiative of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND), and the City of Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Almere, Diemen, Haarlemmermeer, Hilversum, Haarlem and Velsen. Its goal is to improve immigration and highly skilled migrant procedures. It also acts as a valuable information source for all internationals living in these areas.

Help for companies
Employers can initiate the registration for a residence permit prior to their new employee’s arrival in the country. It also provides other services such as applications for the 30% ruling and assists international newcomers directly.

Help for internationals
Expats in general can visit the offices too for expert advice, information and resources in addition to the wealth of information available throughout the Living section of their website.

In addition it organises several events, including regular seminars led by experts, covering topics such as employment, taxes and education. There is information available on renting and owning property, as well as healthcare, schooling, housing, finding work and more. The organisation is also committed to helping protect international residents against workplace discrimination and exploitation.

Their Partnership Programme
Its services include a Partnership Programme, which connects international newcomers with local expat-related service providers in the Amsterdam area.
