At BlockVerse Institute, our mission is to prepare diverse talent for the future and actively shape a more inclusive digital world. We accomplish this mission by providing skills in high-growth technologies and workplace-specific behaviours and then connecting the learners we train to employers who are keen to hire them.
While we train a range of people, talents, our focus is on individuals who have had or are having a career break either because of relocation, maternity leave, or another significant event in their lives. Training accompanying partners re-entering the labour market in the Netherlands is a priority focus for us.
Empowering Women for a Tech-Driven Tomorrow
BlockVerse Institute looks at training from an employer’s lens. It therefore spends time understanding the job landscape in-depth, and only after studying the skills needed for employment does it design its training interventions. From foundational and basic digital training to high-end domains in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, BlockVerse aims to equip its learners with the skills that the job market needs. Since BlockVerse was founded by senior HR leaders, it also emphasises building a strong self-confident learner who has been equipped with behavioural inputs that build interpersonal and communication abilities aligned to the Netherlands. This enables learners to be competent and confident as they plan their re-entry into the workforce.
One graduate recently shared that: “BlockVerse didn’t just give me the relevant technical skills—it gave me the confidence to believe in myself again.”
Building Success through a Hybrid, Learner-Centric Approach
The Institute’s learner-centric programmes are carefully designed to combine hands-on training with industry insights and exposure. By integrating online technical education with offline behavioural skill-building, BlockVerse aims to use a hybrid model and design interventions that make it convenient for its learners.
Since its founding, BlockVerse has trained over 120 women in South Africa, India, and the Netherlands, with more than half successfully transitioning into technology roles within months of graduating. This track record of success demonstrates the transformative power of focused, inclusive upskilling.
Employer Access and Recognition Received
BlockVerse’s innovative approach has earned recognition and collaboration from major organisations, including:
- Google and Deloitte: For whom it is an upskilling partner.
- Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO): For whom it did a project on behalf of the Government of the Netherlands.
- AnitaB.org: Organises the Grace Hopper Celebration–an event that brings together the world’s largest collection of women in tech.
- European Supplier Diversity Project (ESDP): Certified for advancing diversity and supporting migrant entrepreneurs.
- ACCESS: Accepted as a partner for assisting internationals in the Netherlands.
Apart from these certifications, it is important to note that BlockVerse is led by individuals who have deep corporate experience in the Netherlands and are very well-connected with various employers and institutions here.
All these partnerships and relationships reflect BlockVerse’s reputation as a trusted ally both for learners and companies.
Tailored for Women on a Career Break (or Gap)
BlockVerse programmes are designed with flexibility in mind, featuring live online sessions combined with offline networking opportunities. Small, interactive cohorts allow for personalised learning, while expert mentors guide participants in technical mastery and workplace readiness.
Beyond the classroom, learners gain access to an active alumni network, ongoing career guidance, and a supportive community that fosters long-term success.
Advancing Diversity and Inclusion
BlockVerse’s mission aligns with the Netherlands’ efforts to create a more inclusive society. By training women for high-demand industries, the organisation contributes to workforce equality while driving economic growth.
Collaborations with local governments and non-profit initiatives ensure that BlockVerse’s impact extends beyond individual success stories, helping build a brighter, more equitable digital future.
