International School of The Hague (ISH)

International School of The Hague (ISH) offers high quality international education. Its main language of instruction is English, although they place great importance on students’ home languages. Its aim is to inspire personal excellence in their strong and diverse community. Their mission statement reflects this: Curious, Connected and Compassionate.

ISH Primary School was the first school in the world to be awarded ‘Mastering’ in the accreditation of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

ISH Secondary School delivers the three International Baccalaureate (IB) courses for secondary schools: Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-Related Programme (CP). Their results at both MYP and DP are above the world average.

ISH is part of the Rijnlands Lyceum Foundation, an educational organisation for primary and secondary education in The Hague and Leiden area.

Since the school has a special status within Dutch education (IGBO &IGVO), children are only eligible to attend the school if they are “internationally mobile” or have a nationality other than Dutch.
