The Dutch version of Silicon Valley
Startup Delta is an initiative which started in December 2014 and aims to make the Netherlands the best place in Europe for startups. This initiative is a public-private partnership: government bodies, knowledge institutes, startups, financiers, businesses and Startup Juncture (a blog about all things related to Dutch startups).
Startup Delta believes that the Netherlands offers an openness to change, innovative talent and instinct for business to make startups accelerate in an area which is comparable with the size of Silicon Valley. Startup Delta aims to be the best connected and largest startup ecosystem.
One-stop-shop for setting up a business
Startup Delta will be a one-stop-shop for everything you need to know when setting up a business in the Netherlands and abroad for advice and access to instruments and services.
Startup Delta will collaborate with existing hubs in the Netherlands and leading international hubs around the world. Established businesses can team up with Startup Delta and help startups grow further.
Neelie Kroes will spend 18 months (from December 2014 on) as special envoy and lead the new initiative. She is a Dutch politician with wide experience in local, national and European politics and also with a lot of experience working on the board of commissioners of several multinational companies.
