Cooperation between government and start-ups can be beneficial for both. Governments can learn a lot from the innovative mind-set of start-ups. These start-ups on their part can have access to the government’s network.

Startup Officers Network

The Dutch government spends every year a lot of money via tenders. Unfortunately start-ups don’t apply for these very often. In order to improve this, the Startup Officers Network has been established. These officers work for ministries, large municipalities, provinces and other government organisations. They can serve as points of access for start-ups who want to cooperate with the government. You can find more information about this on https://www.startupdelta.org/startup-officers/

Support from the government

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland) helps start-ups  with grants, finding business partners, know-how and compliance with laws and regulations. On  https://english.rvo.nl/topics/startupsandscaleups you find an overview of the options available.
