“Your first steps guide” has been especially designed for residents of Delft, The Hague, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Rijswijk and Wassenaar. It intends to help you take the first steps towards making the Netherlands and especially The Hague area your new home.

The information provided is related to the first things that need to be done shortly after you arrive, but it is also a reference guide for the future; it gives names, addresses and websites where you can find more information. Subjects covered are: first tips on arrival, formalities, transportation, education, day care, money matters, finding (temporary) housing, arranging for utilities and medical matters.

A directory with useful names, addresses and websites is also included. This directory covers the following subjects: banking, general “what to do and to see” resources, hospitals and medical centres, international schools, municipalities, social clubs and places of worship.
